Founded by Mike Brannagan in 2002, Terra Solutions is a San Luis Obispo, California-based GIS Management and Environmental Consulting small business.
Terra Solutions has provided GIS services to Local, State, and Federal government agencies, small business to large corporations. From field data collection to project completion, Terra Solutions can help.
Prior to founding Terra Solutions, Mr. Brannagan was a GIS Analyst for an Environmental Consulting firm where he successfully merged 3 GIS
professional positions into one position with no loss of client satisfaction. As a GIS Analyst, Mr. Brannagan managed a wide variety of GIS projects for multiple offices, including one of the nations largest oilfield remediation projects.
As a graduate student Mr. Brannagan was employed by the Central Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board (CCRWQCB) as a field technician and as their only GIS analyst. Mr. Brannagan was instrumental in setting up the first license of ArcINFO at the CCRWQCB and instructing staff on the uses and benefits of GIS.
His diverse background has enabled him to understand how to use GIS as an effective tool in project management and for delivering successful project resolution.

Mike has also employed
BASINS, an ArcView program, in the development of Total Maximum
Daily Loads (TMDL's) and CITYGreen, to analyze the effects of vegetation
on urban landscapes.
In addition, his studies
in natural resources management have provided a broad knowledge
of biological and environmental factors. He has performed numerous
botanical surveys and wildlife studies including pre-disturbance
surveys for the identification and demarcation of sensitive species,
habitat quality assessments, evaluation of construction impacts
and assessment of habitat disturbance following activities.
Other field-related experience includes soil and groundwater sampling,
and air monitoring.
Mike also has experience
in small office networking and computer repair, including complete
computer rebuild, server installations (Windows NT, 2003), and
cabling.
